The Story
Before the cologne clouds and shirtless guys at the mall entrance, there was this version of Abercrombie & Fitch.

Heavy knits. Outdoor influence. Simple athletic details. Clothes that felt like they were actually made to be worn.

This gray A+F sweater has all of that. The entire piece is done in a substantial ribbed knit with a tiny A+F92 patch at the chest. No oversized branding and nothing flashy, just that little red, white and navy detail against heather gray.

And this one has been worn. There is pilling and visible wear throughout, and I actually think that's part of why it works. It doesn't look like a reproduction of an old collegiate sweater. It looks lived in.

Throw it over a white tee, push the sleeves up, add faded denim and go. This is the sweater that ends up living over the back of a chair because you keep reaching for it.

This needs faded straight-leg denim, an old white tee peeking out underneath and beat-up brown boots. I'd also love it oversized on someone with cutoff denim shorts and tall socks once the weather starts turning.
