Some Ralph Lauren pieces whisper the brand instead of shouting it, and that's exactly why this one works.

At first glance, it's a classic button-down. Look closer and the tiny houndstooth check mixes black, cream and mustard into the kind of pattern that feels pulled straight from an old Ralph Lauren fall campaign. Then there's my favorite part: the tiny RL American flag tab stitched onto the chest pocket.

It's such a small detail, but it gives the whole shirt that unmistakable Ralph Lauren Americana feel.

This is the shirt for October weekends, old denim, leather boots and a sweater thrown over your shoulders when the sun goes down. Button it up and keep it classic, wear it open over a white tee, or size it oversized and half-tuck it into faded jeans.
