Vintage 1989 Santa Fe Indian Market Sweatshirt

A true throwback, and one of my favorite raglans in this collection.

This vintage sweatshirt commemorates the 68th Annual Indian Market held in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1989, presented by the Southwestern Association on Indian Affairs.

The front graphic is what makes this one. Printed in black, gray and red against a soft heather gray sweatshirt, the artwork is surrounded by the event name and date, with Southwestern Association on Indian Affairs printed underneath.

Rather than trying to reinterpret or relabel the artwork decades later, we're leaving its story where it belongs: with the organization and event represented on the original garment.

Beyond the history, it's just an incredible old sweatshirt. Classic raglan sleeves, a beautifully simple gray body, ribbed trim, and that substantial 50/50 Hanes construction that has softened with more than 35 years of wear.

This is exactly why vintage matters to us. Sometimes a sweatshirt isn't simply an old graphic. It's a surviving little piece of a specific place, event, and moment in time.

CONDITION
True vintage condition with signs of age and previous wear consistent with a sweatshirt dating to 1989. The graphic remains wonderfully visible, with natural aging to the print and fabric.
