Sometimes the best graphic is the one that's almost disappeared. This 1980s Sears Style Works for Teens sweatshirt has been worn so extensively that the oversized eagle graphic has faded into the dark body, leaving behind an incredible ghost image that only gets better the closer you look.

The body has faded into a soft washed charcoal-black, finished with contrasting oatmeal ribbing at the neckline, cuffs, and waistband. The wide ribbed waistband, old Sears tag, relaxed shape, and nearly vanished eagle give this one a look that feels completely untouched by time.

And the fabric is so soft.

Decades of washing and wearing have broken it down into that thin, drapey vintage sweatshirt feel that new clothes simply cannot imitate. This is the sweatshirt you throw on for a cold morning and somehow end up wearing for the next three days.

CONDITION
Heavily worn vintage condition with pilling, fading, staining, and general wear throughout. There are holes/openings at the underarms as well as wear and holes around the neckline. Contrast ribbing shows discoloration and staining from age and use.

The eagle graphic is extremely faded and ghosted into the body. This is part of what made us choose the piece.

It isn't supposed to look new. Every wash, faded line, worn seam, and little imperfection is still here.
