An incredible mid-1980s Harley-Davidson sleeveless tee from Bartels’ Harley-Davidson in Los Angeles, California, featuring graphics on both sides and that perfectly soft, broken-in feel that only comes from decades of actually being worn.

The front features Harley-Davidson motorcycles over an old western-style “#1 on the Most Wanted List” graphic. Turn it around and it gets even better. The back has a huge colorful Bartels Harley-Davidson Los Angeles graphic filled with pure California nostalgia: the LA skyline, Universal Studios, Culver City, Marina Del Rey, motorcycles, water, and that giant Harley-Davidson logo across the bottom.

Basically, this shirt is an entire 1980s California road trip.

The graphic is marked ©1986 R.K. Stratman Co., one of the names vintage Harley collectors know well, and the tee has an old Screen Stars tag. The sleeves have been removed, giving it a perfectly lived-in biker cut that looks like somebody actually wore it on a motorcycle instead of buying it to hang in a closet.

And the FEEL. This one is soft. Broken-in, comfortable, grab-it-without-thinking vintage cotton that you want to throw on with faded Levi’s, boots and sunglasses and wear all summer.

CONDITION:
Pre-loved vintage condition with wear consistent with a piece that is approximately 40 years old. The shirt has that beautifully softened, faded vintage black appearance and natural wear throughout. Sleeves have been removed. The original tag is heavily worn/frayed. Graphics show age and wear but still have fantastic color and detail.
