Vintage 1997 Sturgis Rally Tank Top Anvil Made in USA Single Stitch Motorcycle Biker Kentucky 90s

Original 1997 Little Sturgis Rally tank from the Fifth Annual Sturgis Rally, “Bustin’ thru the Bluegrass State,” held July 18, 19 & 20, 1997.

The front has an incredible red and white motorcycle graphic over the state of Kentucky, while the back absolutely makes this piece: a huge eagle riding a motorcycle with “Sturgis, Kentucky, Roars for Thunder.”

It’s weird. It’s specific. It’s motorcycle Americana. And it’s exactly the kind of vintage you simply cannot recreate.

Made on an Anvil pre-shrunk 100% cotton blank, Made in USA with single-stitch construction. The black has softened with age into that perfectly broken-in vintage black, and the red and white graphics have just enough age to look like they have actually been around since 1997.

This is the summer version of Elwood. Cutoff Levi’s, beat-up boots, sunglasses, windows down and absolutely nowhere important to be.

Please compare measurements with a favorite tank for your preferred fit. Vintage sizing can differ significantly from modern sizing, so measurements are always the best guide.

CONDITION:
Pre-loved vintage condition with natural fading and wear consistent with a nearly 30-year-old piece. The black has developed a softer, broken-in appearance and the graphics show natural vintage character. Please review all photos closely for condition and details.

Every vintage piece in the Elwood collection has already had a life before it gets to you. The fading, wear and little signs of a life well lived are part of that story, not something we’re trying to erase.

Vintage is meant to be worn again. 🤎
