Vintage Northern Isles wool-blend cable knit sweater in the prettiest soft heather gray with dusty lavender Fair Isle detailing around the neckline and sleeves. This one feels like it belongs in an old photograph from a ski weekend somewhere in Aspen, worn with faded denim, snow boots, and rosy cheeks after spending the day outside.

The body is covered in beautiful traditional cable knitting, while the lavender and darker purple details give it just enough color without taking away from that classic neutral mountain-sweater look. Even better, this is a true wool blend with 70% wool, so it has that warm, substantial feel you want from an older winter knit.

This one has lived a little more than some of our other pieces, and we’re pricing her accordingly.

There are visible stains/marks on the front of the sweater and sleeves, along with normal wear from age and previous use. We photographed the condition and want the next owner to know exactly what they’re getting. She isn't perfect, but honestly, neither is the vintage we fall hardest for.

Wear it exactly as it is with beat-up Levi’s and boots for that perfectly imperfect vintage look, layer it under your favorite winter coat for a mountain weekend, or give it a little extra love and see what stories are still left in it.

Every vintage piece in the Elwood collection has already had a life before it gets to you. We don't expect decades-old clothing to look like it just came off a department store rack. The wear, imperfections, fading, and little evidence of wherever it has been before are part of why we love vintage in the first place.
